7 Best Brunches in Oaxaca

Brunch is one of my favorite experiences, so I had to research and find the best brunches in Oaxaca! One thing about Oaxaca that I love is they offer traditional Mexican breakfasts with chilaquiles and huevos rancheros while also offering avocado toast and açaí bowls. It’s seriously the best of both worlds!

Here are the Best Brunches in Oaxaca from the brunch queen herself! 😉 Read my full Oaxaca travel guide here.

Boulenc

C. Porfirio Díaz 207, RUTA INDEPENDENCIA, Downtown, 68000 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax.

Boulenc is the most popular brunch spot in Oaxaca, so prepare for a wait! Known for their artisan bread, they offer a wide range of baked goods from croissants, galette des rois with jam, muffins, brioche, and brownies! But the deliciousness doesn’t stop there, they also have traditional breakfast items such as hotcakes, fruit bowls, and Shakshuka. But the best part is they offer vegan and gluten-free options!

Cafébre not only offers delicious brunch items, but they have the perfect courtyard for coworking! Mondo Cafe

Reforma 904B, RUTA INDEPENDENCIA, Downtown, 68000 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax

8am-4pm

Mondo Cafe is very small and their food is so-so but it’s a great cafe for working or grabbing a smoothie or coffee! The owners are super nice and accomodating, as well.

Mosso Cafe

Guadalupe Victoria #122. Col. Ejido Guadalupe Victoria, 68280 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax.

8am-10pm

Mosso Cafe is one of my favorite cafes to work at, in part because it’s close to my house but also the rooftop terrace is goals and their food is actually REALLY good. Sometimes cafes that allow you to steal their WiFi all day don’t have the best food. They also have delicious smoothies and juices if you don’t feel like ordering a meal!

Kiyo Cafe

C. Porfirio Díaz 212, RUTA INDEPENDENCIA, Downtown, 68000 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax.

9am-7pm

It’s quite a small cafe but very quaint and a must-try for a good coffee or kombucha! The menu isn’t large but has the essentials – baked goods, oatmeal, and fruit! Kiyo Cafe is the perfect place to stop for early morning breakfast in Centro.
