Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce is one of, if not the, most popular hot sauces around. In addition to dousing your chicken wings in this spicy sauce, there are various recipes to make use of your Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce. In this recipe, those ordinary meatballs are spiced up to create Honey Buffalo Meatballs.
Crock-Pot
Meatball Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
2 eggs
20 saltine crackers, crushed (approximately 1 sleeve)
⅓ cup dry minced onion
½ cup milk
1 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoons smoked paprika
½ teaspoons ground cumin
¼ teaspoons black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the meatballs: Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and set aside. In a large bowl, add the eggs and gently whisk. Add all of the remaining Meatball Ingredients and mix until they’re combined. Roll this meat mixture into your desired meatball size.
Brown the meatballs: Place the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet and bake until they are lightly browned which is about 8 minutes.
Prepare the sauce: While these are cooking, add all of the Honey Buffalo Sauce Ingredients into a medium bowl whisking to combine.
Serve: Turn your Crock-Pot to a reduced heat until serving to keep the meatballs warm. Stick these honey buffalo meatballs between mini buns to create the perfect game day slider appetizer or easily turn them into an entree by putting them over brown rice and a side of vegetables.
TIP: Everyone prefers a different level of spicy so give your meatballs a taste and stir in the extra sauce at this time. I added 1 ½ more tablespoons of the Honey Buffalo Sauce to my meatballs which is pretty spicy so cater them to your taste.
Bon appétit!

I am so excited to try these meatballs. Even though football season is just starting, we are at the end of the Nascar season so I thought this would be great for the final race of the year. They would go good with a little Basmati Rice too. Great idea and you can be sure we will watch the heat.
