Grab Your Mint Julep, We’re Heading to the Kentucky Derby…Museum
The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports
The Kentucky Derby is the most popular horse race in the United States. It’s a 2km Thoroughbred horse race held each May on the grounds of Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. The Kentucky Derby Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the Kentucky Derby. It features exhibits and films for visitors to learn about breeding, training, owners, jockeys, trainers, and the path to the Kentucky Derby’s winner circle.
In the Oaks Garden Terrace permanent stables, a resident miniature horse, Winston, and a Resident Thoroughbred, Unreachable Star, were pretending to be shy, until a little boy came over, and stood on the fence neighing.
The little boy was obviously a horse whisperer because Unreachable Star came out to say hello. Unreachable Star is a 12-year-old Resident Thoroughbred and named 2009 Indiana Horse of the Year with $784,595 in earnings.
Yelping My Way Across the United States: 360 St. Louis
Tonight we decided to treat ourselves and check out this swanky rooftop lounge, 360 St. Louis. I wasn’t disappointed. It sits atop the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. We wandered around the downtown ballpark area before heading up. Want the full scoop? Check out my Yelp review here.
Drink local! Sipping on a Missouri Augusta Winery Vintage Port with 360 views of the Mississippi River and St. Louis Cardinals Ballpark Stadium.
Heaven. This picture is pure heaven. Kit Kat bars layered with milk chocolate, hazelnut, and crushed praline.
